This video shows what was the reality on the play ground at Swiss Eurobot Robotic Cup… Our robot was collecting batteries and succeeded to put them into the recycle bin. But our robot took 2 batteries of 2 different color. The robot is entirely autonomous. The following components have been implemented in the design and construction of the robot:
• Microcontroller Circuitry
• Processes data from sensors andcontrols all subsystems.
• Robotic Arm
• Capable of wide range of motion on fourjoints and is capable of lifting target objects.
• Gripper has multiple sensors (current and pressure).
• Sensor Circuitry
• Includes bumper and distance IR sensorsfor navigation.
• Includes current and pressure sensorsfor object identification.
• Sorting Process
• Uses sensor data to correctly selectdifferent recycling containers.
• Battery
• Two rechargeable NiMHbatteries are used to power all components and to reduce environmental footprint.
