Pet Robots in the home

Pet Robots

  • Robots in future will make make great pets, they should be very helpful because they can be programmed to do whatever need be around the home. Hi my names Robert and I write about recycling and Robots and am a big fan of pets but unfortunately living in a small flat with constrictions restricts me form having pets. Living in a small flat with great recycling facilities is also very new and somewhat difficult for some people to get used to. With that said I will explain some views on Pet Robots, why you they should be considered as such and how my views on this topic changed over time.

Robotics is developing in industry and industry is moving closer into the home, pets make homes more homely therefore designing a Robot that will suitably help a person in there home will require a certain commitment, just like a pet really.

Now I know some of you won’t be convinced about the pet thing, after-all pets require feeding, pets like to have there space in the home and pets also leave a mess everywhere. However as I am sure any of you know who have experience with pets, from Dogs to cats or snakes to spiders having a pet can be very rewarding. I think this would be good for Robots to be called pets simply because I have noticed some very dissapointing trends in peoples recycling and services available depending on your location. I also am convinced a Robot or something more symbolic would help improve these findings. http://twitter.com/trashrobot help improve these findings.

Statistically we spend enough time online to argue that perhaps having another area of technology in our homes is not a plausible idea, but what’s the alternative go on as we do and watch the municipal waste stack up or do we take an initiative, design homebound robots to act as practical pets.

I had my views about robots but have never really had anything but love for pets and animals and I am sure any enthusiast of animals would not contest this. Robots are clunky, things that sci -films portray, things that cost money for the kids.
But wait – how about a Robot that is in the home for everyone to use; won’t be an eye sore and will inevitably help people recycle better. Admittedly this is the anti thesis of exercise and what some people associate with pets, walking and exercise etc.
But lets face it we are all a lot more lazy than what we used to be and I see a niche wide open that needs to be not only brought to the mass market for it to be consumed, but also something that solves a global common problem many of us are experiencing. This includes heaps of rubbish mounting up, rubbish that gets burnt and pollutes the environment and rubbish http://www.squeezeframes.com/4992/4899.html environment and rubbish and should be ashamed of ourselves.
Yes Robots are a good pet to have and a valid inclusion of what pets represent, this is how I feel but would be very interested to find out you views of this statement in light of the current factual global problem, perhaps you have some other solutions.
