Trash Robot think Tank
Jul 15th, 2010 by Trash Robot
Inside the mind of the machine we begin to see new horizons making themselves available. Sorry scratch that the mind of clever humans who are developing new technologies and learning new Robot markup language are beginning to emerge. The dedication of grass roots individual developments and global forums is growing as technology opens its doors to the public. We walk into these doors and see not only potential ideas and future visions, but also we see inside each others worlds. These worlds are hopefully very neat and tidy and everything has its place and the land you live in provide this space or arena for you to put things, thats the recycling right? The think tank is an idea and its already happening, hopefully by now the message of recycling has been understood and the invitation to discuss these clever methods have been delivered, so with that in mind its time to move into the development of the Robot. Hopefully you have an interest in Robots perhaps you have a few ideas about digital programming and understand the ground that needs to be covered but here I will inform you of a few ideas that will hopefully help begin the brainstorm process, were going to build lists and build piles of positives and negatives. The disussion about having a Trash Robot in the home is very important.
For example there are many roles of recycling in the home and outside the home into the industry, or better still the industry adopting the robotics idea is something that will clearly need to be mapped out. Similarly even when we know the roles what are the variables and limitations of what roles a Robot can actually do and how can we expand those limitations and overcome these unwarranted no’s and no can do’s.
The information making itself available is so broad its unreal here at trash Robot for the past year information, howto video’s and other supporting factors of keeping a website running have been finding there way into posts, and now I think it is time to invite the world into this Think Tank. Now I am not claiming that I have all the knowledge here or thatI am an expert in the field of anything, but I know some of you have spent time in micro sections of this broad topic. Over the past few months alone I have met face to face with people within the disposal of rubbish industry and have gratefully been contacted by people who are making robots out of rubbish and fun stuff like this, and all of this is relevant. My favourite feeling about the accumulation of posts is the change that is happening. More councils in London alone are stepping up there provisions of Municipal waste, and providing business’s with ways of separating there own rubbish as apposed to leaving the difficult job down the tip to separate the chaff from the wheat. As we know by separating, glass, card and plastic from all the little sticky bits of spaghetti we are building up a far greater stockpile of usable rubbish, and thats the biggest achievement Trash Robot.com feels part of, infact the next stage will be a Podcast interviewing various people in the feild so as we can take the entertainment level and inform you better as time goes on. The possaiblities are still endless however the problem is still by no means solved and the technological developments at a grass roots level are in no way clear. But its a lot clearer than what is was even a couple of years from today.
Another poignant point is that Robotics from the top down is an open book and the developments within Area-51 are being revealed. With video’s other websites and scientists, robot makers, trash experts and a whole number of enthusiasts are now coming out and lifting the lid on the options we have to choose from. Three clear messages emerge from my end on this and they still remain, one is cleanly ness, two is pro-activeness, three is innovative design, four is friendliness and five is all the other stuff that comes into our gaze as the veils thins of the true nature of the technological developments. This may all seem a bit confusing still, but hey hand on heart who can honestly say that online in 2010 they are not already confused. So by coming together persevering with the ideas and linking the possibilities a Trash Robot seems the obvious idea, I cannot think of any less practical reason to seriously develop a practical Robot with the tactility and sensitivity to let in our homes. Please lets keep this Trash Robot things moving and I invite any input into the Trash Robot soup kitchen.
